Paladin\BG sets beef up

Ok, so those 2 are pretty old and weak. And I guess that changing set code could be a pain. So what I suggest - is to beef up set items itself, without touching the set code.
Paladin set first.

Breath's Depth (a sword)
----------------------------
Enhancement Bonus +5
Light Normal (15m)
Regeneration: Vampiric +5
Damage Bonus Divine 3d6
Use Limitation: Alignment Group
Bonus Feat Monkey Grip

Add:
HOLY AVENGER!!! C'mon it's a paladin set sword!
Increase both EB & VR to be +10, you can craft it anyway, so this will just just save some money.
Make this ridiculous 3d6 divine to be 5d12.

Replace 3d6 negative with 5d12 acid.
Maybe add some peculiarity, like cast inflict wounds on hit? Or wounding with good DC and damage?

I do think that the suggestions are reasonable and that the Paladin/BG set are long overdue for some degree of overhaul (along with the Hexblade and DD ones)

My main concern is if there is an active dev who is willing or able to handle such a task, and what would happen to legacy items should the sets be reworked.

Some minor things:

Paladin set should be made 6d12, as it locks out the use of other sets save for misc.
15% magic immunity to cloaks would be good too, seeing that it's a very valuable stat vs the ubiquitous Quillfire and IGMS spells used by mobs.

To me it also seems that most of the changes area reasonable in context of equalizing the sets with ftr ( no other set has shield ) but in the same context the sets need 1 more item to become 6 items for max bonus.Acid damage is shit but if u have enough tokens u can make it 5d12 electrical which will make it stronger than ftr weapons so if u want to equalize the sets with ftr the weapons should have same enchantments as ftr weapons.

Pal weapon and set bonus should be more than fighter, because he should use shield = no PTWF, less damage.
OR make Pal spellbook and feats better, now it's very weak.

I agree with buffing up those set items without changing the set code.
6D12 divine for both, Additional shield bash damage on shields, a few % immunities, Keep items number at 5, some spell slots, and that's it. And that's already a lot of work, I suppose.

Or, if we are talking about BG set weapon, why not add ..

That would add some variety to this set and make BG really bad boy

Changes to Paladin and BG set items are ready to roll out.

Samyx, I added the spear to the black guard set as you requested.

I am updating the online catalog now and will be accurate to ingame on next reboot.

Just to further clarify, since set items themselves are item blueprints, you will need to get new copies of the set item to get the new base versions. We cannot programmatically alter them since copies that you have now may have been modified at the forges, etc. We will be happy to credit new copies to replace old copies strictly by request.
