Given the item trade restrictions on seasonal vs. mainline, I think the question is whether or not we have a willingness and/or ability to rejuvenate our player base by the end of this year.
I posted this on Discord recently:

When's the last time someone ran a push to play us up in the gaming community? My thought is that if the Team can give our venerable home the type of facelift you were describing at the 15th and could possibly show some demo footage, it might wake thing back up a bit. I know keeping a good-sized player base around has always been....interesting.
I also wondered if perhaps a few old-timers might be able to post in the welcome channel. I've seen some activity from the greeter bot, but it's not the same. I know we can say hello to newcomers in general or wherever - I'm tossing the notion out anyway."

That post drew not a single response or even reaction. Think about what we might be able to offer new "recruits" by year's end that hasn't already been covered in prior pushes to draw people in.
On my # welcome channel point, currently the greeter just says, "Hey <@random popup person> Welcome to Realms of Trinity" There's no followup. No idea where they should start on ROT. No encouragement as to whether or not the shout channel is okay to use just to say "hi" to folks in game.
Folks, it's a bot with Cuteface. It offers nothing really useful and we can do better. I see newcomers join the Discord. I see newcomers pop onto the server to say hello, in Local Channel, to the 1 or 2 people at the entry point who forgot to put their AFK flag up then disappear, maybe for good.
If we're asking the question of whether or not new content, Seasonal, Ur Draxa, GFX facelifts, are worth doing, the real question is how we get a gamebase to appreciate all that hard work!
