For Barbarian, you do need 10 levels of Barbarian to equip. The text in game seems to imply that any of the scaling classes will allow equipping, but they do not. They only count for scaling.

Used a normal bow, a +1 bow and a +13 bow. Ab went up +1 and +13 respectively.

Sam - I tested on my AA (Ftr16 AA10 BG3 Bd11). I used a normal bow with normal arrows first. Then swapped out normal arrows for +1 arrows and AB did not change. I also used a magic bow with normal arrows and +1 arrows and the AB did not change. I took off all gear and turned off all effects like bar...

Good stuff KC. Lot of work there! Some thoughts/questions... 1. With these changes, is there any reason to go pure Ranger Longbow? I know one of your goals is choices and it looks at first glance like if I want a ranger longbower I would always choose MM? But maybe that is ok too. Just mentioning it...

+1 on overall change but why wouldn't we make all armors basically equal which was the design of DnD? Why shouldn't all armors be designed to give 20 points of AC to reflect the ability to get 50 dex? Robe 0/20 Padded 1/19 Leather 2/18 ... ...
