Re: silent spell not working on bard?

Silent spell does not work for bard by NWN2 design. You can take the feat, but it's wasted on bard spells.

(I'm pretty sure it didn't work for pnp bards - as the design reason)

Re: Damage type stacking with enhancement bonuses

averages to about 4.2 more damage on a regular hit

Don't forget the base melee weapon dmg. So it's probably very close on a normal hit for melee.

avg(4d6) = 14, 10+ diremace base (d8? - idk) = ~14

Re: Damage type stacking with enhancement bonuses

Is 4d6 rolled and the greater of 10 vs 4d6 applied? Making it 4d6 with a minimum of 10? ^it will take the greater of 4d6 vs +10 enh with base weapon dmg. Irrc the bonus damage is considered extra-damage (much like massive crit, SA, etc). Only the Enh +base will crit. So the higher of the 2 will be ...

Re: Halfling Rogue

Long blurb: I played a lot of Halflings on the server. (I also found the Yuan-ti and drow fan base a bit over the top; I understand the mechanical appeal...but the RP got a bit much, even though it's not an RP server) There's a challenge and it's even more tricky to build a good ECL0 toon. Halflings...

Re: Lower Level Grinding - Looking for Clarification

As an older, more-or-less retired player, I can comment on some changes. Game long-term survival tends to hinge on evolving the game. So if fast 40s and 40 grinding is the current player base attraction, then that's probably ok. It is almost purely an action server with a little inter-player RP chat...

Re: Random Thoughts on Builds and Balance

The engine checks in the following order iirc: concealment, parry, AC/mirror image, epic dodge -parry and mirror image are bypassed by crits, I think. Mirror image is quirky, but still very useful: -mirror images get randomly targeted and when targeted almost always get hit and removed (on RoT end-g...

Re: Playing on Two monitors Tech Help!

Hmm, it's been a while but iirc there are 2 settings to tweak. Once for titles and general stuff and another for basic text and pop-ups. Did you try both?

Re: Playing on Two monitors Tech Help!

You can change the fonts of your text in the nwn2.ini file(iirc). I have changed my fonts to be a bit bigger on the native resolution that I use - but it's been a while so don't quote me on the exact file name..."something.ini". Just do a search on how to change nwn2 fonts. Any text editor...

Re: Dagger Spell Mage [CBRI]

I wondered when someone was going to get around to that! Well seen. It will indeed be interesting. (Sets fundamentally changed RoT building) The DSM was tweaked+++. But the effect, like some other sets was to also augment unintended targets. That's why I was never a fan of strengthening weak classes...
