What do you think about making elemental companions a bit different? Make them casters, not brawlers. For example: Fire elemental: allow to cast body of the sun and rays of fire or fireball or another fire spells. Air elemental: chain lighting, call lightning, etc... Or maybe make them warlocks? I'm not sure about level 40 hp\ac\regeneration values. Not sure it's enough to make pets survive event server areas. I agree with everything suggested and I love the idea to have companions differ. I'd suggest to make a panther a sneaky\rogue type. Give her sneak dice (progression could be as for a rogue) and HiPS. Badger could have a barbarian rage, or something similar. As for the boar - damage reduction? I feel...

One thing I have noticed about mirror golems - RoT 1\2 chapters, most of the melee\ranged enemies just unable to hit them, so - no damage reflected, and golem benefits become questionable. Not exactly. That companion I was talking about: 1) have hitpoints 2) could be attacked and killed by the enemies 3) could be healed. Probably just any small, flying thing with AI set to follow master only mode, no attack, no protect self.
It's pretty hard to target pixies and stirges - so don't think they will disturb other players too much.
The only problem I see - no sure they will follow caster on teleporting.

Something like Hexblade's Dark Companion? But material, that has hitpoints and could be healed.
A crystal or something that floating above caster's shoulder and following him when he moves and teleports?

I think the best thing that could be done is simply to remove mithral golems from game.
Because it makes already OP arcanes even more OP by boosting theirs survivability over the any limits.
