An idea occurred to me over the last few days. With the Saerton invasion, and the Shadowdale gov't overthrow, a really interesting side twist would be using specially generated player characters who could act as aggressors to the main plotline PC's in RP events.
Have 30 Saerton warlords.... ok, always an easy fight.... throw in 2 to 4 PC's on the Saerton side, then suddenly the fight becomes memorable.
Basically the DM could hand the "bad guy" PC's a bit of a script, about what he wants/expects and use them as intelligent, dangerous "NPC's".
The aggressor PC could take his reward on his main character, and duties could be rotated out amongst all the participants. Since the "bad guys" PC's wouldn't be involved in the non-combat RP, it would allow for expansion of the events without a lot of additional overhead for the DM's.
Since it is easy to level in RoT, having a cast and crew of baddies in a few weeks wouldn't be that hard. I would be willing to donate time and drops to equipping this cast of "Villans"
I took a straw poll from about half a dozen RoT players, and overall they liked the idea.
Thoughts from the DM's?

i would like to see this idea with one step further added, player factions for guilds and the possibility of PvP as ongoing conflict between guilds and groups.

Tips of Golf Swing In today's golf crazy world; more and more golfer wants to buy good quality ping g15 fairway wood to make their scores higher. Keep your clubhead low and straight along the ground as you take your club back smoothly. Smooth is the word--a low, smooth takeaway promotes a long, smooth arc back into the ball on the downswing, which translates into power. ishiner

One would think a role playing game forum would be one of the worst places to spam about golf clubs.

...and yet there he is. (X_x)
Also, I love the idea of a few PCs rolling temp characters to act in DM events; guild faction battles might be fun too.
