Hi all,
Has anyone of you had the same experience? Whenever somebody logs on, logs off, uses the shout-channel (not party, local or tell), the spell that I'm casting fails. And I'm a druid, I should have no trouble with ASF.

Are you sure it isn't when you change equipment? As this is a KPAK fix if it is...

Yeah I'm sure. Not changing equipment, just casting. Even when not casting and someone logs on, I get the icon of spell failure next to thic pic of my toon. Quite strange. It's like somehow someone else logging on let's my tooon think it has changed equipment. edited by battlechaser on 1/26/2012

It's possible that the KPRC wire up is doing something to all players vs just the player logging in when the on_pc_loaded script is being called. I will review it. I been playing my wizard pretty steadily and I have yet to have that happen, so something weird is definitely going on.

I also noticed it on amaror's sorcerer when we teamed up. The weird thing is probably just me

I had that issue with a new toon as well. The odd ASF on EBlasts with light armour, no shield and no equipment change. I chalked it up to him being a halfling.

I have noticed the "Spell Failure" buff appear randomly on me while just standing around, then disappeared after a few seconds. Only noticed it on very rare occasions. (It never affected my wizard when I was actually casting)

I found this interesting tid bit from the latest release notes from KPRC 1.41.4:
100% spell failure effect attached to polymorph and shapechange for those without natural spell. 100% spell failure effect attached to WoC and Hellspawned Grace for those without guttural invocations.
Now if somehow the engine is getting fowled up when it is adding these ( and we have more people playing these classes that utilize this ) it would explain why we see odd/random occurrences of spell failure effect for no reason.
I did a search on effect spell failure throughout any of our custom code, and we simply DO NOT use that effect for anything in our code.

Just started a cleric build and this hasn't experienced any spell failure although people were loggin in. At next ER (for the drood) I will replace zen archery with natural spell and see if the problem is fixed.

yeah I made a warlock with chain armor I was having spell fails all over the place even with the armored caster feat that stated as long as I was in LIGHT armor I would have no spell fail. It got so annoying I deleted the warlock
