I am playing a druid and was experimenting with wild shape last night. This was less fun than previously indicated, as changing to wild shape caused me to be unable to rest. (Fun fact: spellcasters become less effective when they cannot renew their spells!!)

In wild shape form, if I attempted to rest, the game would attempt to revert me to my normal human form twice during the process but failed to do so. I found that if I pressed the key to rest rapidly a number of times, after no small amount of graphical chaos I would revert to human form but I would imagine that the server wouldn't be too keen on that approach being used regularly as it would lead to flooding and chaffing. Also, this approach seemed unreliable. Also also, this might have simply been the wild shape ability reaching the normal duration threshold and wearing off on its own while I mercilessly flailed my poor "R" key.

So yeah, . . .
- anyone else seeing this??
- didn't see a post on Kaedrin's site about it. Anyone know if this is known??

This is disappointing to me, as I was really looking forward to showing up to do battle as a dragon with another dragon as a pet and then raining down spells of fire and damnation on the enemies of Trinity in their freshly-soiled trousers.

edit: I accidentally a word.

I just did an audit of the wild shape feat and the spell script that it calls. The script that runs it is nw_s2_wildshape (Kaedrin modfied) and is exactly the same as well as it's include scripts that it uses as provided in the PRC v4.14. No changes have been made to it and the problem is with the PRC or an engine issue that Kaedrin ran into and wasn't able to take it any further.

I'm going to download the latest version of the PRC to see if he made any changes or updates to it.

We definitely have the latest version for that. I have posted a reply to the thread you started with all the necessary information for Kaedrin to go through.

Thanks, Brian. Someone one the Kaedrin's forum asked why I don't simply change back to human form. The answer is: Wildshape is unavailable in this state. I should have included that initially but I overlooked it.

I know there is some consideration being given to the druid code so I will include my experiences here so far and encourage other players to share what they see in addition to this. (I'm seeing a new crop of druids out there recently.)

- While in Wild Shape, I cannot cast epic spells like Vampiric Feast and Mass Fowl, despite the fact that I have the Natural Spell feat. (My other spells work just fine.)

- If I am polymorphed at all (animal/plant/elemental/whatever) and I die, I will find that on respawn/resurrection, my strength is lower than it should be and my toons other attributes reflect this (encumberance, et.al.). I am able to fix this by casting Restoration on myself (or by logging) so I assume other status-removal effects will help this also.

- As mentioned before, if I am in Wild Shape, I am unable to rest. I must use the radial menu to return to my original form and then rest.

As I said before, if anyone else has seen behavior with a druid that seems buggy, share it here.

I want to also say that I am SO GLAD to see these changes and so far I love playing my drood. Thanks for all your hard work, guys.
