NWN2 Neverwinter Nights 2 PW Persistent World Role Play

Getting Started in The Realms of Trinity

Server is listed under the Role Play category

  • The Realms of Trinity is a story based persistent world based in the ©Forgotten Realms Campaign setting. It takes place in the southern coast of the Sembian region several hundred years after the goings on in Neverwinter Nights 2.
  • The core story of the Realms of Trinity drives the persistent world experience for the player, but the player is not bound to it. There are areas of the game that can be adventured at any time. These areas are not tightly bound to the story, but as in any region, are loosely tied in various ways.

Server Specifics

  • Basic supplies and the first shop to visit is Mick's Fine Wares in Trinity Town Center. Use your map to find it, as all important areas are marked on all maps.
  • The death penalty is the default NWN2 50xp / level loss, 10% gold cap of 10,000gp.
  • MOTB Crafting has been replaced with the Charlie's Item Modifier ( you can either talk to Rex in Mick's or if you use the modified player menu if you have downloaded Charlies Item Modifier Overrides. Click the player menu and select Modify Item after right clicking on the item) which is much more powerful and concise than the in-game crafting system. It will give you a lot of options and it is much easier than the crafting system. Also, we have a great amount of custom item drops that are random. So, you have chances to get really nice and thought out items that can be tailored as you wish in the forge.
  • You can rest any time you want in a non-rest restricted areas. There are only a few throught the entire game.

Campaign I: The Dark War of Trinity

  • You may begin the Campaign by talking to Vaster Jarulson ( The Captain of the Trinity Army ) at the Trinity Government Building in Trinity Town Center. The areas that are Campaign related can only be adventured to depending on your current state in the story. You may return and "re-run" the campaign areas as many times as you wish once you have access to them.
  • Most beginnings and endings are handled INDIVIDUALLY, and not as a party. You must start and end the particular stage of the journey personally. If in a party, when an objective, such as defeating a particular monster, etc, the entire party receives the journal entry. If a member of the party is not in the same area as the defeated adversary, they will NOT receive the award. Once completed, for example, after defeating the Cloak Tower ( ROT I Prologue ), you must individually speak to Vaster and report the information to him, and YOU will receive the reward. Each party member will have to do the same.
  • Refer to your journal often, it will tell you what step of an individual chapter you are on. Also, if you haven't received a journal entry for defeating a creature that you might have thought would be your objective, keep going! Don't just "port" back to Trinity, thinking that you are done. It isn't over, until it's over!
  • All journal entries are stored persistently in our database ( NWNX4 MySQL Database ). They will be there when you log back in, regardless of server reboot.

Campaign II: The Dead Wake ( March 20, 2010 )

  • Two years have passed since the defeat of Cain. Peace has returned, but now is threatened by fog of death that is consuming everything in its path.

If you have completed the first campaign, you may begin the second by speaking to the Trinity Government Building guard.

Getting Around in Trinity

  • The Realms of Trinity makes use of a World Map, in addition to Transition Points. Much time can be saved by using the world map. There are several initial map points, but others will appear depending on your stage in the overall campaign. You can find world transitions in the following locations: West Exit in Trinity Town Center, Eastern Road, Northern Road, and in other campaign related areas.
  • All key points to an area WILL appear on your local area map. For example, view the map in Trinity Town Center, and all shops and service areas will appear.

Unique to Trinity - Epic Relevels

  • Character development is essential in the Realms of Trinity. Hence, players will be rewarded for attaining experience above and beyond Level 30. This is called an Epic Relevel. When a player reaches certain thresholds of XP, you will be entitled to an Epic Relevel. You can clain your ER by visiting the Trinity Temple, and speaking with Krister. You will be given the option if you have the XP amounts ( detailed below ).
  • A character will receive a total of 5 base ability score bonuses. These can be spread out as the player chooses. After the player chooses the 5 ability points, that character's ability scores will be modified. Then the character will be sent to our "Relevel Void", once there you will be set to Level 1 and the player will be able to re-level / rebuild your character as they choose.
  • The thresholds are as follows:
    1st ER: 1,000,000 XP
    2nd ER: 2,000,000 XP
    3rd ER: 3,500,000 XP
    4th ER: 5,000,000 XP

Unique to Trinity - Wish Shards

  • A Wish Shard is a rare or DM awarded item that allows a player to add to his or her Wish Shard total. Wish Shards are tallied by GameSpy account and not by character, hence you may share your Wish Shards amungst your characters. You may process or use your Wish Shards by visiting the Wish Shard processor in the Trinity Town Center magic shop to redeem XP, Gold, and/or Items.
